He wants them to know the truth. Its about a depressed girl who worked as a prostitute in Amsterdam. I always took the songs meaning as he is in love with someone and it's sucked the life out of him and he's begging the girl to cut him loose from the torment of the unrequited love. Its only called Amsterdam because thats where Chris Martin was when he wrote it. Thought I'd just clear that up. I sort of view it as a slow progressing depression I have depression and for some reason I cry listening to this song but feel SO much better afterwards.
My favorite lyric is im dead on the surface, but I am screaming underneath, because it is so true everyday is like a constant battle to appear normal, to appear like there is absolutely nothing wrong with me but in reality I just want to scream and cry. This is obviously about Anne Frank. The songs called Amsterdam because thats where she was trapped in hiding for 2 years before she was found.
Such a deep song! I don't know why but I interpreted this song in a completely different way. Mostly the last lines You came along and you cut me loose' If you read the lyrics in its entirety this seems like a sad tale. Like the writer was pushed over to an edge and the last thread that he was hanging on was cut loose by someone. Someone who is making him pay for one mistake that he made, "of not waiting". Someone who is now gone far ahead and is happy in life, whereas the writer himself is hitting rock bottom.
If you're "standing" on a bridge tied to a noose then it really can't be about hanging yourself. But dunno It's not about suicide. I think it's much more symbolic than that. He's at a point where he isn't happy anymore "come on, oh my star is faded," the star representing the brightness and happines in his life.
Something that's weighing him down, like a "ball and chain. He could have found a girl that cares for him, or the church. But whatever it is brightened his life, made him happy again. For a more sad feel try Coldplay - What If :- such a sad song. Not that I know of, so no. But i luv clocks. I think Coldplay has a song called "Human" and if I remember, they said "Are you human or a dancer?
In Dutch, it was called 'Nieuw Amsterdam'. A Rush of Blood to the Head is by far their best album, in my opinion. This is also the album that has Clocks on it. So there you go. Sorry for being over-informative, haha. Half from Morocco and half is homegrown, so called nederwiet. They're two different genres so you can't compare them, but by how much each artist is liked the most, so the answer to your question is Coldplay.
Coldplay wrote the song themselves. It was released in so pretty new. Chris Martin had written the first lyric as well as the melody to it "Was a long and dark December" all the way back in , when Chris and Jonny guitarist were the only members of the band.
It was hearing that short arrangement that convinced Guy Berryman bassist to join the band. And about a decade later, they completed the song while inspired by some political frustration. Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands. So, it is in The Netherlands. There is one song that is called "So Cold" by Breaking Benjamin and there is also another song named "Cold" that is by Crossfade.
Coldplay generally use the more "emotional" full major and minor scales. If you're hoping to jam along with their songs you still can, as the pentatonic scales are derived from the majors and minors, so for example if the song is in E minor you can just play in E minor pentatonic.
Hope that helped! Hitler invaded Holland in and Amsterdam is in Holland so I think that means he invaded Amsterdam in This song is called Something Far Greater.
It is my dream to work with Shamu so I spent 72 hours trying to find out what this song was called. Your welcome. Dokken had a song in the 80s called "So Many Tears". Would have to look up the album though
