Can you sell sirens on ebay

Yes, they are. It is possible to find working mics, speakers, or sirens in working order and in a variety of conditions. While some of this signal equipment will be available for purchase in a nearly new state, the majority of functioning Federal Siren devices will show some aging and wear. There is also a large assortment of non-operating emergency signals that collectors can purchase for a part that is needed to get a fire or police signal working once again.

The Federal Siren equipment that you may find will consist of the siren housing alone or as part of a PA Public Address system. Until the last quarter of the 20th century, sirens were a separate component from the lightbars and spotlights used on ambulances, firetrucks, and police cars. Mounting locations would vary, depending upon the car or trucks purpose and the State laws that governed their placement.

Individual sirens were designed for placement on:. Yes, they did. The brand name was placed on alarm sirens designed for use on fire alarm systems. So I listed it. Ten minutes later I get a phone call from this guy who told me I just listed a prohibited item. It actually wasn't even isted yet He told me it was going to be removed. I asked him why. He said it was listed as a prohibited item. I also told him the same manufacturer made a VERY similar item that had thousands of items listed here.

It was a Ruger Mini 30 magazine These are identical rifles, ONLY differing in caliber, and virtually identical except for the caliber. I asked him if the Mini 14 rifle parts were ok. He said absolutely, yes, totally OK. I then asked about the Mini He said, nope He said that eBay did not allow assault weapon parts, and that if it was banned in Kalifornia, then it was not allowed. He admitted that it was an internal decision. I asked him why that was not specified in their policies.

He told me that eBay made this decision and that it is not posted as such, but we were supposed to know it. I asked him why is it prohibited. I told him that prior to my listing the items, I did competitive pricing research and found many such items listed, so I priced mine cheaper, and listed them. He said that just because an item is listed does not mean it is allowed. He said that they decided that the Mini 30 was an assault weapon because it has evil features. Pure bovine defecation.

He told me they were banned in many places He then let slip that they have people who monitor certain accounts to watch what is listed. Apparently, he is MY guardian angel. I asked him why, as we spoke, there were so many other "evil" items listed He said that there are only so many reps to follow certain sellers and that there are many who get away with it. I told him I had no problem with eBay deciding to make their own rules, but they should share them with their sellers. He said if they published the rules, then more people would try to find ways around them.

So, they prefer to keep the sellers in the dark, and zap them if they have the temerity to try to post an item that is NOT listed as prohibited, but that some at eBay has decided is evil. Go figure MANY prohibited items, categories, etc. One prohibition is any firearm magazine with a capacity of over ten rounds. OK, fine, their policy.

But, they are the supreme hipocrites when it comes to many of these. I described my adventures with my eBay Guardian Angel and the Mini 30 magazine in the previous post. When I did a search for Mini 30 items, and for almost any other magazine for that matter, I get a bunch of "sponsored links" at the bottom of the page, where eBay sells advertising space to other companies. Hipocracy for the sake of making the almighty dollar.

Have faith, every dog has it's day, and what goes around comes around. SOME day, SOME place, another start-up site will come along and eBay will wither and die, perhaps not in our life times, but it will occur and I will be laughing from the grave perhaps, but laughing for sure.

Turn on suggestions. Auto-suggest helps you quickly narrow down your search results by suggesting possible matches as you type. Showing results for. Police and emergency response uniforms, equipment, or accessories can't be sold on eBay. What is the policy?
